10 month old African goose laying eggs everywhere

Hey yall, I have a mated pair of African geese who are both 10 months old. Cheese my goose has built two nests, one she laid four eggs in and was not sitting on, one of my pigs got into the goose pen and ate the eggs. But she laid another clutch of eggs with around 18 eggs that she is sitting on. However I keep finding fresh laid goose eggs everywhere around the 2.5 acres yard. Any idea why she does not lay in the nest anymore? Oddly enough she has been laying since January.

Too many eggs in the nest? Generally when they start setting they stop laying. Are you sure they are hers? Have you checked her nest to see if something is removing the eggs?

I’ll get a full count of the eggs tomorrow. She’s been sitting on them and I think if the dogs were getting and moving the eggs they would have eaten them. I only have one male and a female goose so I know she’s the only one laying unless I have geese breaking into my yard to lay eggs. How many eggs are supposed to be in one nest?

Yea I had them sexed and I’ve caught them doing the deed in the pond so I’m quite sure.
