Not sure how much you wish to store. Brother who kept pigeons says to use metal cans for storage. I use them and dump some DE in the mix to ward off moths. traps set in the vacinity of feed are useful too.I store feed in large frosting pails from Walmart ..they are 5 Gallon ? hold 32 pounds of frosting ...they are usually free or they will sell them for .10 or so ..
Ask at the deli or bakery ...they normally throw them away ...you have to clean them out ...
But they are hard heavy duty plastic ...the tops are the same plastic and have a rubber seal...
when they are new ...they seal so well ..I sometimes have to take a screwdriver to pry them open .
Each one holds about 40 -45 pounds of feed.
I have also been storing the extra big bags that I dont have room for( I only have so many pails) in my Bilco / cellar entrance
( which I & the cat go through quite frequently ...so there hasnt been a problem )
