3-D printing

Hello everyone,

I’m kind of new to 3-D printing, so I figured I would join this thread.

I have an interesting situation, and I would like some input on it.

I have an Elegoo Neptune 4 Max. I was in the middle of a 20 hour print. About 15 hours in, my Father called me and said that we had a very brief half second power outage. It was enough to stop the print.

I was very discouraged. I was really looking forward to this mushroom shelf.

Anyway, where I live, we have power outages on occasion, a majority of them last only half a second. This is not good for my 3-D printing, as it immediately stops the print.

What can I do to prevent the prints from being stopped? Should I have an uninterrupted power supply in case of a power outage?

Can someone please give me some advice?

That printer should have a power loss function where if you lose power it’ll restart the print where it stopped you may be able to find it in the settings it also may be something you have to turn on every time before a print.

Yes, we tried using that function, but when we started to load the file on the flash drive, it was not there. I think the power outage did something to the data.

We don’t know how to connect it to the computer. That’s why we’re using a flash drive.

Interesting.

Yeah if you can I’d see if you figure someway to have it plugged into something that holds charge after the power goes out especially if it’s just a couple seconds.

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking. I think we have one somewhere. I have to find it and install it after this next three hour print.
