Sadly the little tripod didn't make it through the nightIt was surprising actually because of how well it was doing yesterday. But on a happy note, his 3 siblings (2fbcm & 1 olive egger) are doing incredibly well and the last of the 5 eggs under my momma hen just externally pipped.![]()

This is an old thread but OP said the chick passed away. You can start a new thread about your own chick?I'm curious how your chick turned out, the one with 3 legs and an extra set of toes yet on top of that? One of my chicks that hatched yesterday also has 3 legs, so I'm curious does the extra legs keep growing? Did it live a normal life like other chickens or was the legs a problem? My chicks extra leg is by the tail of the chick.![]()
If you keep reading , you see that the chick unfortunately didn't live more than a day. When chicks have visible issues, there are internal issues that are worse and their lives are short.I'm curious how your chick turned out, the one with 3 legs and an extra set of toes yet on top of that?
