Any good watering containers?

5-gallon bucket with horizontal nipples. The six we have in the coops stay thawed all winter as they're heated to 40F.

For the outside growout pens, those won't fit in the mini coop/hutch so we bought four of the 3-gallon heated ones.

By four days old, chicks are using the verticle nipple bottles and by four weeks convert to horizontal ones in the brooder so they'd already know what to do in the coop. Back when nobody knew, it took one to do it and 8 years later it's just history!

Yes that’s the one!
It arrived and getting ready to set it up. Debating between constructing a PVC set up using my trailer vs getting an adapter for my garden hose and using it. I think the PVC will be better than using a garden hose. Either way I have to get an adapter. What size adapter do you use and where did you get it? I went to Lowes and Home Depot and the both had a 1/2 male with a 3/4 slip female. Neither had a threaded 3/4 PVC I'm going to a plumbing store tomorrow. I'm leaning towards PVC over brass. What do you think?

I’m assuming the pvc will be fine it’s just a matter of finding one I think if I remember correctly we couldn’t find at Lowe’s or Home Depot either and finally found one at Ace hardware if you have one of those.
