One of my grubs successfully pupated! Waiting for confirmation but I think Osmoderma scabra.

Here he is from today! (I'm assuming a he, although I totally spaced I could have checked his molt, I am not lifting his skirt! Lol)

I tried with a tabacco hornworm but I dont think its alive anymore been under dirt for months now
It can take months for them to pupate. Mine is still in the dirt too, has been since the beginning of October. As the days get longer it'll sense that and emerge. I know mine is still alive because it wiggled when I brushed my hand against it yesterday.

Wow! It’s amazing to see all these beautiful insects and arachnids! I’ve always wanted a Tailless whip scorpion, but for now I have Madagascar hissing cockroaches. I love them so much as they are so fascinating and surprisingly friendly! They do breed like crazy though, so i separate the males and females. The little babies are so cute though! They almost look like little pill bugs. I’ll take a pic of them when I go to feed them later.

We were just talking about our MHC earlier and how I miss our colony. Only downfall was whenever they'd hiss they'd send the dog into a barking fit lol from the other room! Lol
