Anyone else have a bearded dragon??

I don't have one, but I took care of my sister's boyfriends beardie for about 2 years. Loved having him. Wish I had the room to have one now, they have such great little personalities.

That is a little how we ended up getting ours... I just love them.
My daughter has a friend that is trying to talk her dad into one... out of all of our animals...she likes the chickens and the bearded dragons the best

Very pretty... is he a citrus?

Thanks. There may have been citrus in the line, but his breeder (who is no longer breeding) called him a "flaming sunset". He's VERY orange when he's warm and happy.

Oh my gosh... I adore ours... WE have two... Wizard and Mu"Stang"
Question before my pics Have you ever tried DE with them? Can't get a response on the bearded dragon forum... not very active group.

I hope this isn't a silly question but what is DE?

I loved looking at everyone's pics of their beardies! Such beautiful colours! Angus turns dark and he flattens out when he is outside his tank, it is winter here so might be a bit chilly for him! Angus lives in a temperature control enclosure with a UV tube light, his heat globes/UV globe are both on a timer so we don't have to worry about him being comfortable and happy!

Well, he is beautiful. I just love our red, but can never get a good picture of him... dagnabbit.

DE is diatomaceous earth (if I spelled that right... it is early). I feed it to keep down worms, etc for the dogs, chickens. It is also good to sprinkle it around the house to keep out ants, other bugs.... use it in the coop to keep down mites, etc. (that sentence I just wrote seems odd... but I hope you get the gist... like I said it is early).

I was wondering if it was something I could give the beardies to control worms (not that we have any, but just in case).
I buy the food grade so it is edible and one of the uses is to control intestinal worms, but never seen anything about using it in reptiles.

As for what it actually is.... it is made from diatoms that are found naturally in the water.

My brother has a little one and my neighbor has to bigger ones and the newest one he got scares me because I gave it a pet like a rub down its back and it gave me a evil glare and the other one just like doesnt care lol

Wow! I have never heard of it before! I feed Angus live crickets/mealworms, they come with a little packet of 'gut load' that the crickets eat, which when Angus eats he gets the benefit from the cricket. I also add calcium powder to his fruit/veg on occasion, not every time. I've not really heard of Beardies with worms. I have seen 'mite' spray for reptiles but so far Angus has been very healthy. I am going to look into DE, it has me interested!

Totes Quakers... They can get worms and I was just hoping to have a plan

Yesterday was pretty here and Wizard got to go out and enjoy the sunshine.
I think she was out of her terrarium more than she was in it

Do your beardies give you stink eye?

I think I get more from mine than from my chickens.
