Hello!
My one year old duck has been laying fertilized eggs everyday now since Christmas. I REEEEEALLLLY want to try to hatch them, but don't have room for more ducks in my life at this moment.
If any good duck/chicken owners nearby in St. Louis MO were interested, I was thinking of hatching a clutch later this spring (April/May)!
Female is a B-E-A-U-tiful black runner duck whose feathers are iridescent under natural light and her boo, the drake, is a standard American fawn and white runner (he's pretty too lol). So their babies would likely be runner patterned, but color could be anything (I think) so the babies might develop into some really beautiful ducks!
I'm just curious what their little babies would look like and since her eggs have such a flawless fertilization rate I figured I might as well give it a try.
SO if anyone is interested let me know!!!
TLDR: If anyone in St. Louis area is interested in taking in ducklings, let me know
Price would be free, as you'd be doing me a favor by giving these ducklings long and happy lives.
