Arizona Chickens

My barred rock isn’t doing well she has a droopy tail and is lethargic and isn’t moving much, her skin is pale in hoping if just heat exhaustion and not something worse…
I got her to drink some electrolytes but she’s pale and weak and not eating, really concerned it may be coccidiosis

This is another possibility, I watched her poop which I thought won’t happen if she’s egg bound, should I do a warm bath even though she’s on the perch for the night?
You could try doing that with some Epson salt mixed into it.

BenisonsChickns, how is she doing today?
She’s had a few soaks, this morning she was a little more active I’ve seen her eat a little and drink some water but she’s just laying around again this afternoon, my girlfriend said she could feel the egg in her so hopefully she can pass it in the next day or so….

It won't hurt her any to soak her backside again with some Epson salt in the water. I hope that she gets back to normal for you soon.

We may have solved the third white egg mystery. Today we got an interestingly mottled greenish egg which we think came from our Easter egger, Speedy (she loves to run everywhere, has ever since she was a one-day-old chick). Maybe her body is still figuring out how to coat the eggs so her first egg was just white, then her second egg was part white and part green. I wonder if her next one will be all green.

Looks like we'll be back in double digit temps beginning next week. Hooray!

If anyone is looking for some inexpensive nest boxes, these are $11 online at Walmart.

18.75" x 16.125" x 12.625." We bought two to add to our existing boxes. Easy to clean and very strong, you can stack them if you want but we're just leaving them open-topped on the ground. We might add a little dowel with a curtain across the front for some privacy, we'll see how the hens like them first.
