I recently got a few Broad breasted white turkey chicks, and I know that they're more prone to health problems due to their weight, especially swollen feet/legs, but the chick can't be more than about a week old and one foot is swollen to at least double the size of the other one.
I did some research and i thought it might be bumble foot but i couldn't find any kind of cut or sore on the foot and they haven't even been outside yet. theres two spots on the side that are whiter and look like they might be puss pockets but that could just be due to the swelling, and the foot itself doesn't feel any warmer.
Ive been soaking it in epsom salts for the past couple days with no difference, so I'm not sure if its an infection or not. don't want to take her to the vet if i can avoid it but i don't want the little one to suffer..
