I have went over this forum and I see a lot of people asking about this breed. However, my lingo is not up to par. I would like to ask about mine. I have 3 plymouth rocks and I'm curious. Based off of what I've read, I believe i have 1 rooster and 2 hens. They are just at 3 weeks.

Based on the barring in the wings, they all look female to me. But I'm no expert, they are still very young, and I'm falling asleep, so don't take my opinion to the bank! Let's see what the smart people say, and see if I'm right! 🤣

Where did you get your chicks? From the picture they don't appear to all be pure barred rock. It may be they are hatchery birds which just don't have the standard for PBR. Not a big deal, but it eliminates the possibility of sexing them by head spots. If mother was single barred and father was double barred you should be able to still sex from barring. Barring looks like pullets. If Father was not double barred you will need to wait longer to sex them.

I got them from Tractor Supply. That would explain why I am having problems determining the sex as well as being new to chicken raising... They were in the plymouth rock brooder.... if they aren't pure, does that effect egg production?
