i know all of the breeders on this forum ask what would happen if i cross chicken x with chicken y well i feel your pain i am wondering about breeding as well so i believe it is the best interest of this website/forum to introduce a chicken breed calculator this will help with many problems
i have done research for some proper chicken calculators but they are all in a different language and very very very confusing
so please BYC provide a breed calculator

Never seen one before in any language. Is it along the lines of where people would input breeds they cross and what they got from that mix? I had a 2 mystery bantam chicks hatch out last year that look like nothing we own or have ever had hatch before and am wondering what the heck, but I don't know that a calculator such as that would help me. I would however like to know what certain crosses turn out like.
Can someone explain more about what it is suppose to be/do exactly and how it would work? Thanks

well this is a pre beta version this is the drawing board
we should have breeds such as leghorn then every type of known leghorn white, red etc etc
then it should be combined with another breed and the fusion should be produced
also if it is an ancona hen which is lightly speckled there should be enough variation to faciliate for the difference for example one hen may be spotted more than another this is to ensure the most accurate results
its very hard to explain this in writing

I would be open to it.
Would be helpful though if the were options for example: Rhode Island Red x Blue Orpington (type stuff).
Maybe have a drop down for the color of the breed when there is more than 1 color.
Just a suggestion.

What confuses me most is the coloration like Black Breasted Red is the same as Partridge and such. I do have some of them down but still gets confusing.

It shows up as English on my computer. I thought the author was Dutch, so it showing up in German for you is possibly a little odd. I've been using it for a number of years. No problems to speak of. Incredibly helpful and easy to use.

X 2. I use it all the time.
