Black sex link

I am getting a barred rock hen to cross with my Black Australorp rooster to make black sexlinks. Does anyone know what the hens will look like and what the roosters will look like? I know you will be able to tell them apart as soon as they hatch, but how?

I assume you are talking about feather color. When they are feathered out the pullets or hens will be solid black, the boys will be black barred. The boys will be feathered like their mother, the boys like their father.

The boys will have a spot on their head when they hatch, the girls will not. Illustration 5 in the first post in this link has photos.
