black watermelon seeds for chickens?

How old are they? Mine are just 13 weeks old so I put this type of thing in the blender and chop it up. Interested in what others think.

Most keepers don't dig the seeds out when they give them watermelon. The chickens seem to handle them without a problem.

Not sure how old here's a pic of them

I'm assuming there old enough they loved the waternelon and seeds I guess since its 118 degrees here in Arizona think they will be okay in the heat? Giving plenting of water and a lil muddy area to lay in. Also does anyone know the breeds of them I'm guessing the rooster is mix not sure of the hen

I don't know about the one on the left. Is it a full grown bantie of some breed? It has lots of comb which makes me think it's older but it's small in size. The one on the right looks like a pullet, I'd guess about 7-10 weeks old or so.

Okay thanks I was thinking he would have a funny crow for his size but to my surprise he was really loud lol

I never even thought about taking the seeds out lol My girls seem to be a-okay with them though. What I've been doing to help with the heat is dice up the watermelon and then freeze it and give it to the girls that way, colder and doesn't turn into watermelon water quite so quickly. Although my girls really like watermelon water
