Above I posted a pic of what pip looks like now. Has been 40 hours

If the beak is still at the hole, and the membrane doesn't look brown/yellow or too dry, and you still see movement or hear peeping, I think waiting a little longer is best. If the membrane gets brown or looks like its sticking to the feathers, I'd proceed to assist.

You can remove a bit of the shell in a zip.. if it bleeds then stop..Use a tweezer. Cornstarch will stop any bleeds. Go slow.
