Bumblefoot: lethargic, dark purple comb, minimal appetite- Help!

That’s fantastic thank you so much! Are they alive once out? Silly question as they don’t eat their own feces but do I have to worry about the chickens eating them?
Hmmmm, I honestly don't know, but here is a great article that talks about the benefits of clay including parasite cleanse: https://parasitecleansers.com/more-remedies/bentonite-clay/. And here is a read that compares using clay v. diatomaceous earth: https://greendiatomics.com/bentonite-clay-vs-diatomaceous-earth-for-parasites/

Of note, don't use a metal spoon when dispensing clay as the metal can affect the efficacy of the clay.

Revisiting how clay actually rids the body of parasites. I relayed what was told to me decades ago and it made sense. Reading about this further, the clay apparently absorbs the parasites as it passes through the body and then out, taking the parasites with it. I do not know whether any parasites would ever survive this.

In my personal experience, adding clay to my chickens' diet also greatly helped their poop, even the cecal which we all know has one of the most pungent smells on the planet!
