Not much to report today so far. I put down some more dirt and mulch. Hubby helped me get two power strips connected, one to each of the outlets, and now I'm working on zip-tying more poultry fencing together for the front wall.

Yesterday I ordered two air purifiers—a larger one for the great room and a smaller one for the bird room, as we're calling it. Today I ordered a butterfly net for capturing birds while in the aviary.

Now hubby is off to Home Depot to get wood, brackets, and hinges to frame in the front wall and door. I decided the brackets I made were too flimsy.

I'm going to use a screen door insert that I found in the basement for the aviary door. It's slightly damaged, but nothing I can't fix with hot glue and duct tape.

I was thinking coturnix, but I need to do more research. I want them for eggs and meat.

Coturnix are your best eggs and meat option. They're also quite hardy and good beginner quail.
