+1 on the coturnix choice. Granted that I don't have any experience with other types of quail, but coturnix are very easy to manage and maintain. As I understand it, most other quail require permits to raise, but coturnix don't in many jurisdictions. That was one of the things I considered before getting quail. I'd rather not have to get a permit just so I can raise animals to eat.

I have land closer to Laguna Park than Clifton, but it has the Clifton zip code. I still live near Dallas. I have to get a house built on the land before I can move.

Yes, I do. And they badly need the extra room. I'm thinking of finishing a cage I started a while back so that I can put some of them in there.

We're going back to Home Depot today to return some items and get different ones. Then I've got some sanding and staining to do.

I’m sorry! If it makes you feel any better I have knocked over an entire can of oil based paint on my mom’s living room floor (it did not come out)
