Cackle Hatchery Review

They have some stuff on the site warning that this can happen. Basically they are having to count their chickens before they hatch. Somtimes chicks don't make it to hatch. I'm sure they will make it good. hope I can get mine. I'm gonna drive to pick em up they will be expensive if I have to make two trips. I'm sure it will all work out but I understand the disappointment when things don't go right. Keep my fingers crossed for both of us. I ended up with my date because the variety I wanted weren't all available at the same time till that date.
I know it happens it was just a little disappointing. Im having them shipped to my mama because of my work schedule and now she has to change her schedule around for next week so she can pick them up because I can't. But it will all work out. I ordered the surprise box so I guess the surprise was they aren't coming til next week lol. Fingers crossed for both of us, because if they don't come next week I'm not going to be happy.

Yea! Got mine picked up today. was a long day of driving but we did go on down to Lamberts restraunt we love the plac e and try to go in whenever we get to that part of the state. Anyway they were nothing like I had planned in my head. What a large operation! Took up like the whole block. And they were busy about 2 in the afternoon. But the wait was short thankfully or some of their ducklings were likely to make it home with us. Little cuties are heart winners. But I really want to have a proper set up ready for them so they aren't forced to make do with cobled together junk. And we don't have to deal with smelly duckyness getting out of hand due to it being to hard to keep a cobbled together mess clean. Anyway nice folks they included a few extras in the order too which is great and a buffer to those inevitable losses. Huge difference in the chicks this way much more lively than the poor babies that come rattle and thump to the tractor/farm store. And of course they are just gorgeous. I can say beyond a doubt I will be doing business with them again if I can catch up with what I got. I got a coop to finish before these guys are ready to move out of the spare bedroom.

Yay, glad you got your chicks! My chicks did ship yesterday so they should be here tomorrow. I get a text message every time they make it to a different place. I really like that I get updates on them. I will update again tomorrow after I get them.

They are here!:wee
43 chicks and 2 ducks!
Very happy with them all!
My mama was really wanting a turkey but that's OK I will just order her some. Very happy and will do business with them again

All are alive and doing well.

awesome. sounds like fun watching them grow and develope and figure out what you have. best wishes and all the luck to you! like an ugly duckling story.

New here, but have used Cackle Hatchery several times. We recieved 16 Cochin bantams yesterday and they arrived next day after shipping, all arrived healthy and still doing well today. I'm in Eastern Ohio for what its worth.
Best of luck with your new chicks! :)

Uh-oh... The original poster's story has me scared. 8(

I ordered 5 sebrights from Cackle and they're supposed to arrive today or tomorrow. So worried that they're going to arrive dead or dying. I already told my sister I'd film the experience for my niece to watch but now I'm wondering if I shouldn't if it's going to be a horror film!

I wouldn't worry too much the weather is not bad at all probably just about right even. Have a place ready to get em acess to water just in case but I doubt they will care about anything but having room to stretch the tiny legs. If all goes well I hope to add seabrights to my mix as well as some big ole brahma's what an odd flock that will make.
