Ok, maybe they can;t wear socks, but I would like to do something to help the hens get their feathers back on their backs! Has anyone trimmed their toenails or painted over the tips or something so they would not be as sharp? I am picturing a rooster with hot pink nails! My 7 year old daughter wants to go with baby booties! Any suggestions to help the half naked ladies?

You can either get saddles for the hens or get the spurr covers for the rooster

Please don't laugh, but do you mean saddles like what a horse wears?

Yeah, pretty much. It's for the rooster though. It is a layer of cloth that they wear while mating and to regrow feathers. Just put it on and let her wear it for a week or so

Lol I didn't know what they were at first, then like googled it, they are just like aprons you put on a hens back to protect them.

And you can get them in all kinds of lovely patterns, and even put the hens' name on it and everything. They're a good idea, and they're stylish.
