Chicken loosing balance, tail down, stands alot

We demanded naxolone for tramadol reversal... ALWAYS demand, then you have grounds for criminal action if they deny and do not provide service you have requested.
I suspect most of us (me included) are not aware of what our chickens need at a biological level at specific times of duress. Without medical knowledge and first hand experience, we react on the fly, relying on others, such as yourself, for input, based on the circumstances and description of our observations, which, through best of intentions, could be incorrect or inadequate.
Most people put too much reliance on veterinarians, physicians and medical professionals in general - what choice do we have? (rhetorical)
Thanks for sharing your story with Delta Dawn and for the scientific explanation that can help all here to better understand the complexities of a chicken's anatomy.

I'd appreciate if anyone could chime in if there was something I could have done more for her if I acted quicker

Again thank-you everyone so much for all the ideas and help really appreciate it. I was really hoping I could make her better.
@Shadyandel2003, I'm so sorry for your loss. We all feel your pain since we've all lost a hen that meant a lot to us. I'm really thankful to the BYC experts and contributors for their questions and suggestions when we were nursing Missy. I hope you can get a necropsy on her, just for your own peace of mind. When I started researching Missy's symptoms, and asking questions, reading all I could, I did come to the conclusion that she had salpingitis. Since we'd had another hybrid that died of it, I wanted to make sure. So I got the necropsy on her, which proved what I had assumed. It did make me feel better to confirm the diagnosis, but still made me sad that we tried to do EVERYTHING, but in the end salpingitis is fatal. Again, all of us here know what you're going through. :hugs

I'm sorry to hear about Chicky:hugs

No, I don't think there was anything else you could have done.

Hens with reproductive issues often decline even with supportive care, antibiotics, medical and vet care. Unfortunately, this is common in laying hens.

In order to actually know for sure why she declined and died, you need to have a necropsy through your State Lab. They will give you a report of their findings.

You can find your State Lab here https://www.metzerfarms.com/poultry...cKG945KnkMoc8PvINp8M4EBj2iE57Y_5heV0V_F9dA5iu
