Chickens moving “egg” HELP

What do your nests look like...pics please?
New layers are rather rowdy with rearranging the bedding at first,
it usually calms down after a month or so.
A good lip(4-6" above bedding) on front of nest can really help.
Also ping pong balls are very light and easy to displace, try golf balls instead.

I found a handy solution using hardware cloth, folded into a box shape to fit into my nest boxes... Doesn't totally eliminate the bedding scratching but helps :)

I have had chickens for years. I have the same 4 nests that I have always have. They have a 2 inch lip on the front of them. My hens range from 6 years - 1 years, a couple at each year. I have always kept hay on the ground under the roosts, lets the poop dry out.

They have gotten into a rotten habit of creating a nest on the floor and laying there. ALL of them. Yesterday, I stirred that nest up, and freshened the boxes, carefully added a fake egg to each box. THEY ARE ALL GONE. I didn't even find them.

I had about 6 weeks of broody hens IN one of the nests. 2 hens, the second going broody within 4 days of the other hatching.

Chickens were put on the earth to drive us nuts!
