I've got a couple stories.....

So we have this little bantam hen!!! She is a frizzle, and she is crazy she's so short when she runs it's the funniest!!!!!!! But she actually loves dogs. Some nights she will sneak up on the porch. In our dog box!!!!!! She's a pig, ( for example) when I give em bread she tries to still all of it!!!!! She's pecks all of the other chickens. So she can get all the food!!!Oh .... Her name is Kyle, your probably like Kyle? Girl? Well, the guy that gave her to us said he had too many roosters so she was supposed to be a rooster. But she laid a few eggs, and then never laid one again.And we just kept her name, Kyle

Yes she is, I love how fluffy she is!!!!!

That's adorable, I love her!
And I honestly think the name Kyle suites her!


I've got a little silkie names Emu, I know I know,
I'll explain.

So once upon a time, our neighbors found this little half grown pullet wandering around their yard. They caught her, and you know how pullets look at that stage. So they named her after what she looked like, a little emu!!

Anyway, they introduced her to their other chickens and Emu ended up at the bottom of the pecking order. After awhile, it got so bad that they wouldn't let her eat or drink anything. She wouldn't even leave the coop.

That's about the time I moved there.
I had almost no experience with chickens, but when my neighbor told me about her I decided to take her in.


Now back to the present (4 years later), she is one of the happiest and healthiest chickens I have.Not to mention the mother of 4 clutches!

We are new to chickens as well. Our first funny episode was this evening. My husband goes out to check the chickens for the night. Comes back to me and says we're missing 2 chickens. We go out to look again looking everywhere but up high they are roosting on top of the door
