Hello All
I’m thinking of doing a preventative worming for my chickens. Everyone in my flock of 8 is healthy but one of my girls has a dirty but all the time. Not generally poo although the odd time there has been. Her butt is just dusty and dirty while everyone else’s is cute and fluffy. What is the best product for deworming chickens? I have read about goat dewormer? And what would the dose be if it was goat dewormer? Thanks so much!!

I got Valbazen for mine, as I have 4 year old birds that have never been wormed, as well as a 9 year old, and some 6 month old hens. and it treats everything but now I am trying to figure out how to get it in them. Telling a hen to open her beak didn't go well, and rooster wasn't very cooperative either

I give my chickens safeguard goat dewormer, 0.5 ml to each chicken then I repeat in ten days.

I will sometimes soak the dewormer in little pieces of bread and then give it to the chickens.

Looks like she may just need cleaning up, but if you are wanting to deworm your hens, you can use Safeguard Liquid Goat wormer (Fenbendazole).

It is dosed by weight at 0.23ml per pound of weight given orally once, then repeated in 10 days to treat roundworms only.

To treat other worms including roundworms, but not tapeworms, Fenbendazole dose is 0.23ml per pound of weight given orally once a day for 5 days in a row. No repeat.

Give the meds directly to into the beak.
