My coop is rustic on the outside but i can go crazy on the inside. My color scheme is yellow with black accents.
I am not done on the inside or outside, i still have 2 sides to put cedar siding on, and i have to bury 40 feet of hardware cloth apron in ditches i have to dig. More roosts and swings to put up, more nest boxes to make etc.
You can see where it needed more siding. This side is finished , and the run is assembled and roofed in. I built this coop almost all by myself. Not bad for a grandma!

I put flower boxes on the outside and planted mums for fall.

We turned one of the stables into their coop looking for ways to make their run area more fun for them

these are all such good ideas. I think I am going to hang mini flower pots on the fence and the side of the coop and plant flowers chickens like to eat in them like sage or lavender. i am also going to put mini white christmas lights around the outside of the coop.

i recently painted the coop red with white trim because before that the wood was old and rotting. it looks brand new now though.

Paint makes a lot of difference! I paint everything that doesn't move!

I make all my perches and swings out of fresh cut branches.
