The part about the attacks vs a turkey is missing the information that the turkey certainly could and would kill the attacking guinea but they aren't fast or agile enough to catch the attacking guinea.

It is my experience that guineas bond very quickly and easily with turkeys.

My Guinea Cock hates turkeys. Our 6 BB Whites are terrified of him.

We had 6 BB Bronze back in 2019(I think). One of them ripped off one of the Guinea Cock's wattles, & ate it. It think that's the reason for his hate of turkeys. He loves our Bourbon Red Turkey hen though, but hates the others.

Sounds like you don't have enough guineas. They are a flock bird and do best in large groups.

Nowhere near enough for them to have proper flock dynamics. I never recommend having fewer than 10.

Coop can't handle that many. Planning on getting rid of the last one's eventually. At one point we had about 14. Sametime the Guinea Cock had the incident with his wattle.

Here’s an interesting article. I would offer that big takeaway from it, and the simplest explanation is that wild helmeted guineas have a range of head phenotypes, small to large with various colors, and that domestics may represent a more standard and uniform appearance with dominant traits. The domestics seem to have paler heads and smaller crests overall.
