I've seen a similar mole on TV, but I hope never to see one in real life.
Has Annie's brother been out to look at the thermostat yet, Jim?
I got the furnace repair bill yesterday (they show up fast for service and invoice quickly for payment!) and it was only $112, which I felt was reasonable. He drove out to the country, was here for more than an hour and put up with my nosy critters while he worked. One of the cats kept trying to crawl inside the furnace when the side panel was off. I picked his brain on a number of other issues, and he put up with me just as pleasantly as with the cat.
It's back to single-digit cold. Although it was great to have "warm" weather yesterday, I had two hens with bloodied combs. Also, after the double-negative-digit cold spell, I spotted a bit of frostbite on the combs of several birds in different coops.
My oldest cat, Ziva, appears to be having another issue with her ears, and there are No Vets staffing the animal hospital until February. But, then again, I couldn't take Ziva to town in the loaner because pets are not allowed in the vehicle.
Yes, my car is STILL at the dealership. At this point, I can't imagine what the insurer and the dealership are negotiating about. Either pay for the repairs or don't, but I'd like my car back before I hurt myself or the Explorer while trying to figure out all electronic crap. Its best feature, aside from actually running. is the heated steering wheel.
January is proving to be much, much more challenging than I'd like. I am crossing my fingers for no more drama this month and setting my sights on a Good February!
