Duck eggs day 27

The one with the bruise pipped yesterday, the rest haven’t yet but they are definitely alive. One is rocking like crazy, the others are fairly still but do move every so often.

Sweet hopefully you don't have to help them at all. Watch them close they are real fragile until the ge a few days old. Have you watched the you tube video on how to help them hatch? And on a funny note they are not always fragile we had one hatch under a hen and it was out running with the other ducklings dragging half a shell.

I am at little more aggressive than she is we have had some come out with problems waiting as long as she says. Once you get to the dime size hole we have them out in 8 to 10 hours and the membrane she is keeping we a putting Vaseline on I cut away with tiny fly tying scissors waiting as long as she does will mess up wings a feet

I have never needed to help full size ducks hatch. I give my Australian spotted ducks DuMor feed and supplement with a grain mix there shells are so thick they are hard to break to make omelets I think that is why I have to help them out.

Did the bruised one pip in the air cell or by the bruise?

Here’s current photos, the bruised one broke out in the bruise and hasn’t done much since. I can’t hear any of the ducks. Two other eggs have been active and are making (slow) progress towards breaking the shell. Then the other two have been pretty quiet.

Hopefully they keep making progress. Since they are so late they might need more help or they might not.
