No need to know "D
I was washing my duck and i used soap, while washing him i just thought i accidentally put some soap on his left eyes i didn't care about it until 2 days after that when im about to see him i saw his left eye. Red and sealed and when i try to scare him from his left eyes he doesn't react but from the right eye he react. His eyes is sealed and from the side it has red on it. I am aware that this might cause the eye to infect more or even an permanent eye lost. Please help me, i also tried to put some water in his eye before i go outside.

I would recommend a polysporin eye drop(can get at the pharmacy) put two to three drops in the infected eye twice a day until the infection is cleared up. You can also just put a NON-pain relif antibiotic ointment directly into the eye and around the eye. Last option I have for you is go get some Tylan50(can get a tractor supply) dose
1-1 1/2cc everyday for five days. Lastly post a picture of the eye so we can see what’s going on. Hope all goes well.

Never use soap on your ducks unless they have been in an oil spill, soap takes all the natural oils off the feathers and makes them not water proof.

You can make a saline wash by using 1 cup warm water and 1/8 teaspoon salt mix well then pour over the infected eyes. Do this a few times a day but also getting the antibiotic eye ointment would be a good idea also.

Please post pics.
