Hi everyone! So i have a d’uccle thats eye seems to be a little messed up. I noticed a couple days ago, but i thought maybe she just accidentally got pecked. I rinsed with some saline & left it alone. The next day, it looked .. foggy? That freaked me out and when i looked some things up it said stuff about eye worms and how I can use VetRx on the eye.. so i put a drop. The pictures included are of today, im thinking now it might be an infection. It still looks fogged over, shes keeping it shut, if i try to open it she tugs her head so i know shes uncomfortable/in pain.. I just want my sweet girl to get better. When i got it opened for a moment, i noticed there was also what looked like a white spot in the bottom of the eye so thats why im thinking maybe a messed up cornea.. i was going to go to TSC & get terramycin.. is that a good idea? 08C358B2-A202-4D15-83B1-2CAA8A493A0F.jpeg 45D1FAEF-F7A0-4A99-9230-982860CD87CE.jpeg FC2D6A1D-49D9-4432-B880-434F82E7723F.jpeg

Looks like Respiratory Infection to me .
Can you give her some Antibiotics I used Baytril and it work best.
I never read about eye worm and they might be rare not so common
I'm here tagging @casportpony she also once look and def help u

Where are you located? Is the eye color different than the other eye? Since the lower eyelid is swollen, it may be a respiratory disease, possibly mycoplasma or others. Can you get some Terramycin eye ointment from a local feedstore or TSC today? Ask a clerk for it, since it is locked up. Apply 1/8 inch into a cleaned eye twice a day. If you have vet care, that would be even better. Tylan and oxytetracycline are common antibiotics to to treat mycoplasma (MG.) Tylan injectable may be available at feed stores, and we can give dosages if needed.

I went out and bought her some Terramycin today, applied some to the eye. I live in South FL but all of the local feed stores dont sell/dont have Tylan anymore so its difficult for me to get.

She isnt wheezing, shes eating and drinking fine too, theres no discharge :/ i wanted to assume respiratory, but at this point im so stuck on what to assume it is :( . I got some terramycin for her eye, so im hoping thisll work quickly

You can sometimes find Terramycin Scours tablets or injectable oxytetracycline at TSC on the shelf for cattle and in the refrigerated medicines respectively.

Sometimes there's no such symptoms but Mycoplasma cause the swelling of eyes
