Even if that's the case, it's just a part of life. We can't keep everybody happy all the time! Everybody in this thread seems mature enough to get over it and move on when something like that happens. Maybe shoot him a message? :hugs
Bob has his contact info if he is gone longer he can contact him.

He’s a pilot so likely was called out on a flight.

I've only feed cooked chicken turkey and vegetables to Nancy so far and bought expensive foods for back up.

But they all add copper into these foods. I wish someone would sue these companies for selling toxic feeds.

Copper messes up their red and white blood cells causing kidney and liver failure.

I don't like using the word hate. But I hate loathe and despise these criminals for the amount of harm and heartache they've caused and they still continue to do so.

Same said for our human food providers they are a disgrace to humanity, all of them.

If someone deliberately poisons someone they go to prison. So how can these fends keep doing this
I don’t see copper in the feed other than as a trace mineral. Which is found in all the salt licks here.

I feed all my animals the same stuff for 40 yrs, dog and cat food dry and canned, horse feed steam rolled grains and complete pellets, and beet pulp, and now chooks 17% layer or chick starter. Everyone is doing good.

Simple is the best, though I am sure they all enjoyed the roast beef and mash potatoes left over this morning 😁

I would save everyone a slice. The cake is delicious. I know the cheesecakes taste great too, but they have not been cut yet. Saving them for new years.

Of everything we made the other night I am the happiest about the lemon curd. We ended up with 8 half-pint jars full. 7 of them are frozen for later use. I love lemon curd, and we do not strain our we leave the zest in it. To me it is a nice tangy lemon marmalade. Rosie thinks I am nuts but I like to spread a little bit on buttered toast for breakfast.

We have another big case of lemons to sort through. The rewards are worth it. I just dread another several hour date with the zester and a mountain of lemons.
Good job! A lot of work w/produce but well worth it! It's a lot of work for me to process our abindant tomato crop every year. I sit & process 10 to 20 tomatoes as they ripen on the vine every day in summer by peeling & seeding each one before straining & bagging them in quart freezer bags till our two fridge freezers are full. All thru winter we use the tomatoes for sauces, salsas, soups, pizzas, pastas, etc.

We grow the cherry tomatoes for the chickens to eat them off the garden bed vines. They leave the big tomatoes alone but they pick at the cherry tomatoes that are easier to pull off the vine.

There is an update on Amori

He's been trapped between a gentleman and a lady I know, I have spoken to both of them at different times and shown pictures to them.
They called the Rspca who picked him up and are treating his bad eye... then found he also has heart murmur. They have put him up for adoption.

Had they given me support he would have been dealt with far sooner. I was trying from October. But I'm pleased he's being helped now

Something I fed my animals killed them and it wasn't me knowingly doing so. I'm still so upset on losing them

I'm exhausted trying to find what they can safely eat. They had organic vegetables locally grown and cooked meats. But I'm suspicious of the dog and cat food now that's for sure.

I bought expensive dried biscuits I hope they are okay. Because she was used too biscuits. And as already said some expensive dogs food as a back up. I don't want her losing weight.

The pet foods made here in the States majority are owned by two major candy manufacturers & the same dyes & fillers & addictive taste ingredients they put in candies/chocolates is the same addictive ingredients in cat food to make us think the animal loves the cr*p food when they are just addicted to the additive! & why are they adding color dyes to their overbaked kibbles when cats/dogs are basically color blind?

I'm thinking people food (minus the onion of course) is better for our pets than the packaged or canned junk these so-called "caring" manufacturers put out. The color dyes alone on a little cat or little dog is lethal.

The two major candy corporations have bought up a lot of pet clinics in USA where they peddle their cr*p pet food in the clinics. My own vet office has a wall full of packaged dog/cat foods displayed for sale! The manufacturers of these packaged foods will use horse/cattle/dog/cat carcasses that have been euthanized & the euthanizing chemical was found in the packaged & canned foods. Does that chemical also sicken/kill our pet too?! Yes!

Not that we aren't 100% sure what's in our people foods but staying away from pkg food is safer than eating chemically enhanced pkg foods used for extending shelf life.

As it was it took us diligent research to find not only an organic feed for our chickens but one that wasn't baked, cooked, or overprocessed into cubes or pellets. Scratch & Peck brand was the best we came across but still we supplement w/ vitamins/trace minerals, whole loose millet, raw shelled sunflower/pumpkin seeds, produce & meat ~ nothing canned except for nonGMO organic corn cuz our girls ignore cob corn (or pumpkin).

On a rant again! Hey, I'll be in hospital on the 8th & you'll miss me teehee!

SCRATCH & PECK CRUMBLES GROWE.jpg

Scratck & Peck originally had loose millet, grains, corn, peas, etc in their original loose mix but w/advanced milling production even they have resorted to pellets & crumbles but at least they are still nonGMO & organic.

I am feeding Hi-Pro 17% layer short-cut pellets and their 17% Textured.

I also feed their chick starter and the grower. Haven’t had any issues, other than getting the stuff! It’s popular.

Mine are also getting the Calcium and Vit D supplement in their water a couple times a week.

Not certain but maybe sulphate pentahydrate is the taste additive to make the pet addicted to the mfr food ~ but whatever, it's a bluish chemical I don't want.

If there are ingredients listed on a pkg that I can't pronounce or know what it is, I don't buy it. But that's me. My DH does the food shopping now & he's seeing the benefit of reading labels. Ice creams have the worst ingredients in them! What happened to plain cream, milk, sugar & strawberry for ingredients?! What's w/ all the dyes & chemicals added? Oh yes, longer shelf life so the ingredients don't separate!

"Natural flavor" is also a chemical that USA food companies are getting away with here but its chemically altered regular foods but are allowed by govt agencies to still call them natural cuz the chemical came from an original natural source ~ but chemically altered. So deceptive but the general populace is too busy or hungry to care what these mfrs are shoving down our throat.

Just bake your own doggie biscuits. There are healthy ingredient dog recipes online w/ no dyes ~ or chemicals to extend shelf life ~ teehee! featherhead007 feeds his chickens steak & people food besides feed! I think my chickens thrive more on the people food we give them then their actual chicken feed.

I love homeopathic solutions for health but I have to start w/ what goes into my body first before I can build up natural immunity.
