The Date Palm was indeed very gorgeous but the idiot who planted it had planted the trunk right up to the foundation!!! The palm fronds were destructive growing thru the roof tiles, the trunk & roots were right against the wall foundation chipping off stucco, & the inedible dates fell by the bucket loads soiling the walkway & driveway! No amount of beauty made this a safe planting whoever the previous idiot owner was ~ obviously someone w/ no arborist knowledge of where to plant or how large trunks & roots expand in trees!!!

This has to be the same nin-kum-poop 🤣 who planted a Peach tree, Orange tree, & Rose bush right at the chainlink base so that the trees & rose bush expanded to have no room to grow except right thru the chainlink fence!!! Don't people research before they do something ~ having no knowledge of what their actions will harm?

The idiot rose bush growing thru the chainlink fence ~ at least for a little while our 1st hens used it for shade & snoozing under :D

Under the back corner wall the Peach tree trunk bump can be seen under the blue tarp. Some of the limbs from the tree are gnarled into the chain link & are dead & hardened so it was impossible to cut them out thru the chainlink. Like I said ~ idiots :idunno🤪
When I planted my willows I knew they would grow ginormous so I spaced them out. I also knew not to plant them near a building, well or other infrastructure that roots could damage.

Mr Teddy the Terrible - cute little devil but boy he was not friendly!

How did Clyde get such a wild hairdo and his Dada his nice flowing locks!?

Yup he’s a silly little turnip 😊

When the bin crashed down and I came running, he ran over to me for snuggles hahaha. He is such a big suck, I sure hope he stays that way and doesn’t turn surly like his Dada.
Clyde has had something that I think poor Teddy did not growing up. Clyde was babied and handled daily. Poor Teddy showed signs he was not handled a lot when he was younger. It may be in stark contrast to what a lot of experts claim when it comes to bringing up cockerels. A lot promote the hands off approach. I am a firm believer in handling "all" my chickens including the boys. I have done that to every single one I have raised and I have yet to have a human aggressive boy. I fully believe Clyde will not turn into a "Clyde the Horrible" like his daddy "Teddy the Terrible".

I also think if you had kept him and had time to put in the one on one work he needed by now Teddy would be a much better rooster.

Your Clyde video just about confirms my suspicions that all 6 of my silkies are pullets. Clyde is 4 weeks older then my group but that does not matter at this point. My crew is what, 7 months old now? I have a video I took last week that I just got around to uploading. Watch the video with Clyde, focus on the head and hackles. Clydes hackle feathers are everywhere, scraggly for a better word no offense to him.

Watch this video now and look really close to my group. Every single one of them is neat as a pin and they all just look so feminine. I have 6 pullets here I tell you.
5 Silkies for sure look female. One Partridge ~ I'm not sure ~ seems bigger than the other Partridge but Silkies come from 2 up to 3 lbs so size is no indication. Plus Partridge Silkie boys get darker Silkie streamers & tail feathers in their tail poof.
Approx 7-1/2 months Partridge girl & boy
