Cesario update:

Circumstances meant that we couldn't get Cesario off the roost in the dark and he was absolutely miserable about being grabbed unceremoniously! It made me wonder if he instinctually knew that most often when a cockerel gets grabbed in that way, that his life is over.

I was so pleased that my husband was willing to do a two hour drive to come and help me with Cesario, the cockerel that he was adamant that we should not keep! Maybe Cesario has won him over! So far, he is a very good boy.

We soaked his feet and discovered a hard piece of mud/bark wedged up in the webbing above his toes. I removed that and gave him a bit of a blow dry since it's well below freezing outside.

We took him back out to the ladies and he was still limping a bit. My husband wondered if he was just used to favouring that foot and will adjust.

I just checked on him again, but he is sitting in a nest keeping one of the pullets company while she lays her egg. :love

Hope he is OK.

Tech Tax will be required for that (along with who you use for your Ad Blocking).

@SimpleJenn
For ad blocking, I use the following:
On dekstop, I use the Brave browser. Built in ad blocker works and most of the time bypasses YouTube's anti adblocker nonsense: https://brave.com/download/
Firefox with uBlock Origin also works great: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/?redirect_source=firefox-com
uBlock: https://ublockorigin.com/

On mobile, I also use Brave. Both on Android and iOS.

If you use Android, you can also try YouTube Revanced (YouTube app but modded for no ads) or Grayjay.
I have not gotten Revanced to work right, and it is not the easiest to set up first time.
Grayjay works great so far, and I've had no issues with it. https://grayjay.app/
