You had better watch out. Next thing you know now she will be asking to borrow Marie.

Yesterday we had to have Rosie back in Lexington so they could finish the root canal. Me and mom seriously thought of rescheduling due to the manhunt still going on. Well, over the weekend she chipped almost all of the temporary filling off. On a plastic straw of all things. She has also been super self conscious about her tooth so we got it over with. 8:30 appointment which meant once again I did not sleep so I could make sure everyone was up and ready to leave by 4:45. Rain and the never ending road construction on the mountain parkway means you have to leave a little early. 35mph speed limit for 20 miles is not fun. Unless you are Rosie who is snoring in the back seat. Thankfully her tooth is fixed. I cannot say enough good things about the uk dental clinic at the dental school. Yes they may be students, but they are 1000x better then what I have to deal with locally. The tooth looks good as new and you cannot even tell it was broken. They did not do the crown. I talked to the dentist supervising and he suggested to me to put the crown off as long as possible. He said most times fixes like they did last at least 10 years or longer. I will run that by my lawyer when I speak to him again. Insurance does not cover crowns either.

There was miscommunication with my dad and the chickens. I asked him to let the chickens out of the coop. Oh he did alright. We get back home about 12:30 and low and behold the littles are having a field day outside of the coop. It is still raining and they look like drowned rats. It is my fault. Monday evening I was outside with them for 2 hours before dark letting them have some fun. I guess he thought they had earned their freedom finally. I shooed them back into the coop which they did NOT want to go back in. Randy did not help matters. The littles have made friends with him and he was enticing them to the creek bank where he was happily digging up worms for everyone.

This morning Shorley crowed for the first time. Dashing all hope that he was a she.

This morning Shorley and Clyde had a bit of a brawl, I don’t want those two fighting, Shorley is a BIG boy, he is likely the heaviest of all my birds and and he is tall! He is likely 3 times the mass of Clyde.

I really need to have Shorley and Rosario re-homed. And then there is still Bert - what to do with him?

Mr LC and Clyde are a huge worry; Mr LC has been attacking Mr P when he was breeding the hens. The look Mr P gave him the first time that happened was hilarious!

Mr P has ignored him but I see a big brawl on the horizon with those two.

And then there is Clyde, he has been getting quite aggressive- I really worry about home getting into a really big brawl with the big boys and he will get injured - after all he can’t fly away.

So much worry with Roos.

Awww those babies are growing up fast! I am sure Randy would protect him. I have found that Mr LC is amazing at looking out for everyone.

I am also super glad Rosie has he tooth fixed

Some Good News, Some Bad News

On Monday Sydney celebrated her 5th birthday!

The poor girl is deep in her molt but that did not stop her from enjoying her corn cake!

The bad news......

Met the second cockerel to live at FBA.

I've known for about a month that he probably was not a hen but I did not want to admit it. Mrs BY Bob is very sad. No Polish at FBA this winter.

Versace will need to be rehomed. If anyone is interested I will travel a long way to find him a great home.
