Permanent?

Yet again. They have been sleeping in adjoining nest boxes as well!

This is wise!
Oh I was just thinking about how I am getting in my old age.

I am at that point where I don’t give a poop if I miss something or don’t get something done (at work at home wherever), now I just say ‘at some point it will get done, right now is not the point in time’.

And I don’t care if it’s the big boss or whomever I say it to. I don’t care - very freeing this new not caring thing. Less stress.

Curly sure know how to excavate poop! Buttercup was also giving it a try 😊

I think this was really funny:
I was cooking up the steaks that I use for the chooks. They are thinly sliced and easy to fry up. As I was cooking them the steam underneath was pushing the steaks in the middle, up and down.
(Like a heartbeat)
I thought to myself,
“Wow these steaks are really fresh!”

I really wish they would roost on the door - a while back I went to close the door, grabbed the door knob and got a handful of poop. Not sure how to stop them…

Tomorrow I will be putting up some mesh to keep them off the stall walls. I will have to remove any roosting locations they might use to encourage them to go roost in the HenHouse. I am tired of carrying the in there.

I don’t mind Mr P’s gang, but the others need to get with the programme. Catching and moving 12 chooks is time consuming!

Add Mr P and his gang and it’s a lot of walking back and forth. Wonder how many steps I do at the barn???

Ok well speaking of the barn I better go feed horses and check and make sure everyone is ok for the night.

Get off that door Eli-too!

Ha, Ha, Ha. Try moving 19-22 every night - from the tree (and pen top and coop door). The ones highest in the tree have got to be between 10 & 11' high as I can just.barely.reach.them. stretching my arms up and holding the base of a shovel to get them to step back onto the shovel handle.
Sigh. the Darn union wants mealy worms for tree sitting, too. Extra work for me and extra payout to the staff!🙄🙄🙄
