So very sorry RM! :hugs She had a beautiful set of feathers and a wonderfully sleek body shape. A nice bold personality to boot. She was 3 or so? Whatever time they give us, short or long, it's so nice to have known them, and they will never be forgotten. RIP Twirp ❤️

Well looks like Mrs LC was fine she was safe next to Jaffarra, I am sure Mr LC is crowing his head off there, I have the sound turned off so I don’t wake up people hahaha

Good morning everyone, have a lovely day.

@Sylvester017

I will think good thoughts and prayers for a successful surgery today ♥️
TY TY TY!!! It went well as an out-patient. We got home from the hospital after 5:00 p.m. & the hens had dutifully put themselves away. Dana on the perch gave DH a good scolding for not being home to do his nightly escort to the coop!

Wild birds: I have sparrows that swoop in and eat every morsel of seed left on the ground, outside the coop. Usually around 20 or 30 of them at a time. I can’t stop this happening. I live in the country.
All it takes is one Sparrow to tell his buddies where the seeds are & 70 Sparrows descend onto the yard ~ the little vultures!

Whereas, Doves, Crows, Mockingbirds, Phoebes, can keep a secret & never bring buddies!!!

X2 except I'm in the city, and the sparrows swarm the pomegranate tree.
We're in a city suburb too. Pomegranate trees will soon lose all their leaves & we squirt cayenne pepper water at them & they flee. Fewer return each time to the bare Pomegranate branches!

Our hens appreciate the Pomegranate trees both for their shade & the fruit!

Bees and birds are good for our environment. Yes. There are downsides but we need our wildlife and they mostly could do without us. IMO
We solved the bee, butterfly. hummingbird visits to the front yard by planting lavender rosea succulents & also the lizards like the grubs & spiders underneath. The blooms close at night & open up in the morning again & the bees are going TY TY TY w/ the hummies & butterflies:D

Broom ~ Hahaha! Reenie's slipping up on the job of knocking it down!

The LC's are smart little buggers! Just like our Silkies have been. Cuddle bugs!

TY for the good wishes 🙏

Aluminium
DH & I stopped drinking out of aluminum cans or using deodorant derivative w/ it once a study linked aluminum to one of a variety of dementia causes. Who knows? Best stay away has been our motto. We stopped eating beef after Mad Cow (DH had an allergy to beef once & won't touch it now), & now we stay away from commercial chicken meat since the poultry industry is flooding supermarkets & restaurants w/ Frankenstein Cornish Cross birds! That's just us.
