You have psoriasis? I hope you don’t suffer too much!
I do, I get patches and...plaques? My ankle is the worst, it will bleed. But LOTS of lotion multiple times a day helps. I'm an amphibian, I crave moisture 😆
So, here is my current order with egg man across the state. He has all the orpington colors we like (no silver laced though). He has a bunch of colors of most breeds.

This will be divided between now and April, depends on who is laying and what I get with the first set of eggs. He has crested cream AND opal legbars 😍 and his Tolbunt should lay by April.
His deathlayers actually don't lay very often, he says they lay less a year but their whole lives.

You have psoriasis? I hope you don’t suffer too much! I’ve never heard of a human having scaly leg mites either. But I trust Shadrachs
Intelligent opinion.
I have a skin condition also. It comes and goes. Very painful rashes and bumps. Embarrassed to say the least. Around the first few weeks of summer. Doctor says that it’s shingles, but it doesn’t explain the symptoms and the timing. I have a good dermatologist.
Tax for off the topic:
Oi that sounds down right miserable! Contact dermatitis may be the issue - miserable to seal with.

As for Shingles nope. Shingles is caused by the chicken pox virus (hahaha pun there, but true), you will have to have had chicken pox as a kid to have shingles, and like chicken pox you get it once and do not get it again.

I have had shingles (on my face) it is like fire ants crawling up your face, burning itching extremely painful, there is a vax for it (Shingrix here) that will lessen the severity and side effects. One of which is Post Herpatic Neuralgia. That is nerve damage from the shingles - I have that in my face, but the pregabalin I take for my RLS keeps the neuralgia at bay.

Nasty business shingles, I got mine at 45, but those over 50 are most prone. I suggest getting the vax to help prevent the shingles.

Of course if you have never had chicken pox you won’t get shingles. BUT you can still get chicken pox. My neighbour got chicken pox when she was pregnant 😢😢😢 her baby had all sorts of complications, and neurological issues, she is a very simple young lady now.

Interestingly enough when I had shingles I could have given chicken pox to anyone that didn’t have it already, of course now kids have a vax for CP so they won’t know the joys of getting shingles as an adult, or runnimg the risk of having a baby with neurological damages.

Who knew?!

Positively balmy! It's finally warming up to the -8C. Been fluttering down close to -20C...and sunny and still. That helps.

Yes it’s great if no wind, -20 and sunny is a good winters day.

Is this a drought of snow for you? If so would you like some of mine? 😊

Vaseline and wrap with plastic wrap over night will help loosen the plaques and help your skin slough.

Also many times different foods are triggers, I have had friends who couldn’t drink milk or another eat bread…. Others nothing specific seems to be a trigger. Have you tried removing items such as bread, certain fruits (look up FODMAP).

There is also newer meds out there that might help.
