Bed picked up yesterday. Nice polite employee. I offered him a big tin of popcorn that I was going to give to Ron for Christmas. He was pleased.

Yesterday I spent most of the day calling Social Security, pension companies, town hall, etc. Made progress.

Today I dropped off pillows and old blankets at the animal shelter.

Then I bought two bales of straw, and three cases of cat food.

I also took Ron's pennies to the credit union, received over $7.00! That's a lot of pennies.

Oh, and late this afternoon I got a call from the funeral director. The urn and the death certificates were ready, would I like one of their employees to drop them off at my home? Yes! How thoughtful.

Tomorrow I will take a copy of the death certificate to all those businesses who required one. I'll be able to get that done as I'm not going in to work until Tuesday. My boss suggested it. That was appreciated.

That's what my temp was this morning LOL I still have some snow and ice too. I want the ice to go away, but that's not happening!

That straw looks good...I need some more, it's supposed to get down in the single digits I think by Monday? They keep changing it so who knows...

Similar here. Last week when it dipped to 12°F, forgot to leave water running in BR & kitchen sinks. Water pipes in house froze for hours. From pressure when thawed, no cracks or breaks...

Didn't forget this week.

That was so nice of the various interactions. I don't remember it being so "smooth" when Mom passed & it was my sister as main rep.
