I love my oldest tiny Dutch Ini mini. Whenever she got into an adventure she talks to me after coming home.
She is also the ultimate mother /grandmother of the flock and my best broody.

So sweet. Not a grumpy old lady at all.

FYI: I keep track on the chickens ages in the app Anymal. Ini mini is 10+ yo.

Thank you for letting me know. We'll make a note in the spreadsheet.

Oh, I love his waddles! I can see why he's known for them. :love

This is my Cookie! She is the sweetest hen on the block! She is a little clumsy and sometimes trips as she runs to get cuddles and hair cuts! She is learning to walk on a leash, and for some odd reason smells like popcorn!
That picture with her wearing the bow is absolutely adorable! :love

Here is my 7 year old hen „Kreischi“, means screamy in german, she is a cross between Araucana and Javanese Bantam chicken , she was an only baby chicken, was raised by the leading hen for 3 months, since she didn’t have any other other baby chicks to play with, she screamed, a lot! On the other hand, since she was raised by the leading hen, any other chicken which looked at her sideways incurred the wrath of her „mother“ , so she thinks she is a very big chicken, even though she is the smallest one in my flock, she got into a fight 2 years ago with the now leading hen. Who ist almost 3 times her size, Kreischi won , she had lots of bloody holes in her head, but was ok after 3 days, the leading hen ( back then 9 years old) took 2 month to recover from her fight. Kreischi later had a blocked crop, and didn’t eat for days, I feared she would starve, I went to the vet with her, she said she was too weak for an operation, so I took her home and treated her as before ( fresh pineapple juice, which, I think, kept her alive, of course massaged the crop every chance I got) and MCP drops ( which the vet prescribed) to help regulate her digestive system, so , amazingly, she is still there, my hubby said she is to mean to die 😅 she is also a survivor! I got 6 hatching eggs, which were transported a couple 100 km within Hungary, then they sat there in the heat for 5 days, then I drove almost a 1000 km home and put them in a brooder, only she hatched . And, she knows her name, exactly, when the whole flock is chilling in the sun, and I call her name, she is the only one who will come to me 😁 but, she is not a cuddly chicken , please don’t touch 🤪 she is not a very nice chicken and likes mobbing all the other chickens ( who still remember her mom) except the new hen, Shirin, who didn’t know her mom, and showed her very fast that she is not the boss 😅
