Some would say they don't show it as well then either since they're SF and males should be DF.

True, its a dosage effect, SF males(Heterozygous) many times show faint barring also on brown background

Would be interesting to see how a double factor(Homozygous) males with Hen feather look like(could not find double barred males of hen feather mutation)
