Granny's gone and done it again

I've got both hatches together now in the brooder without fighting. They sure do like to sling shavings when they are trying to take a dust bath. We put up the netting over the top as before the first ones turned 2 weeks some where flying over the sides. The 2 1/2 week kids have a full set of wing feathers already.

Burn out the hole?
I used to pick Polk for my chickens. I would take the berry's off first but they loved the leaves. I do too!
Poke weeds are toxic....

I burn out a 3" diameter hole where the plants go with a small propane torch rather than cut with a carpet knife. If cut with a knife the edge will unravel. The material is woven to let rain water through while blocking grass and weeds from growing through it.

90+ collard plants going in the ground and we are going to get a new 20+ cubic foot upright freezer for frozen foods of all kinds that we grow. Shelled green Lima beans and great northern beans and collards along with sale items when we can get frozen dinners for a $ at Publix. BBL

I grew up eating Polk. Just have to boil the water and dump it 3 times before cooking it again with seasoning.
Lots of people survived the Great Depression eating Poke Greens... They grew well around their out houses. The poorest of the poor might have had nothing but poke greens for days at a time. Grits were another survival food that went along with the poke greens.

I did and that is exactly the problem. He is very stressed and its rubbing off on me. I've tried everything. The last option I have is his insurance care case manager. She is trying to find someone that would come in for the day. I have been turned down by everyone I know. I even asked Nancy to bring him with us and she said it would be too much on her.
He will forget anything else but he won't forget you have an appointment. Sorry it has to be so difficult for you!
