Hello everyone! I live in Pinellas County where roosters and flocks larger than four aren’t allowed. Well… I have six chickens and I think two of my three buff Orpingtons are sweet, funny, friendly roosters.

Fluffy was born around early June. He is gorgeous, smart, great with my kids (4yo and an 8yo boys) and so good to all of the girls. He’s a fairly quiet rooster, and we would try to keep him and hide him from the chicken police if it wasn’t for…

Waffles. Hatched late July.
My husband has been telling me for a while that Waffles is a rooster, and I was in full denial about it until I noticed how much Fluffy was beginning to pick on him these past couple of days. I love my clumsy, round, puppy chicken who greets me at the gate so much. 🥺 I don’t know what to do. I just know I don’t want a big fight to break out and have them hurt each other- or worse.

If anyone knows the phone number or email to any rooster rescues that are no kill, or if anyone is interested in having THE nicest roosters for their flock, please DM me, or spread the word. I’m not super sure how posting here works… I haven’t even done Facebook in nearly ten years 😅

Anyway, please help and admire how beautiful my fellas are.

💜
