Hawk Attack - Debrief/Discussion/Help

Are absolutely sure it was a Hawk? We have fox and that sounds like something one of them would do. They carry off the bird to another location to feast on it. We have Redtail Hawks here in Ohio, I am not sure where you are. One did take a full size chicken of my neighbors years ago and he threw his shoe at it and it dropped it. I am so sorry for your loss. I have to have netting over all of my pen to keep my birds safe from them.
