Help! Chick Hatched with LEGS Straight Back!

Unfortunately this poor little chick didn’t make it and passed away this afternoon.

Thanks everyone. I’ve hatched chicks under my broody silkies before...and they were all perfect. I attempted this time to use an incubator so I could do it with my preschool class. Only 2 of the 5 eggs were fertilized. As far as this baby goes, I must have made an error somehow... maybe with the humidity during incubation. I think I’ll hold off on trying to incubate eggs again until I research more. It was a fun experience for my students. I just wish it had a different outcome.
