so I got chickens that are acting wierd their head trembles and they seem to act funny kind of like stargaze it is not neurological problem cause they all were infected they seem to eat , drink, and lay well but I don’t want them girls to be sick what could it be? Btw it is not mareks or new castle they already lasted weeks and I posted a link of someone’s chicken suffering the same thing

She does not have botulism. She would be paralyzed from feet up to neck in about 12 hours. Mareks could be possible, but hard to know. Is she having any weakness in either leg, or acting like a leg is numb, or having problems balancing? Her neck movements do look neurological, which could be due to wry neck, head injury, or something else. Wry neck is usually a twisted neck up down or to the side, so I think hers is just a neurological symptom. I am not a vet, just a chicken owner like you. If you see more signs, such as imbalance, weakness of a leg or wing, or changes in eye color, let us know. I would let her be with her flock unless they are trying to hurt her, since they get upset with separation. If she has been exposed to Mareks, they have as well. I would give her some vitamin E 400 IU daily and a little bit of cooked egg or tuna for selenium which helps with the E. That is a good treatment for wry neck. If you should lose her, I would get a necropsy through your state vet to look for Mareks. I would call and check on cost, shipping, etc before anything happens. The body has to be refrigerated right away, but not frozen. Here is some reading about Mareks, and a link about finding your state vet:

The problem that all hens were infected by this problem and my chickens don’t have anything wrong with feet just neck and head, thnx for the help btw

So it is not just the one chicken with the funny neck movements? Sorry if I misunderstood. Okay, so how many chickens have been having this? What are you feeding? Could there be anything toxic in your soil, such as old lead shot or paint chips they could have eaten, or some piece of machinery that has been leaking in the yard where they walk around, poisonous plants, or anything else you can think of? Have any chickens died? I would get a necropsy for sure if so many are getting these symptoms.

I feed them hen scratch and crumble I believe it is disease but not sure which one one thing for sure is that there are other wild animals

What do you call scratch Please are you giving corn daily? Your video of the hen
did not show much but possibly just food related

Is this hen scratch and crumble one thing or are you meaning you feed them hen scratch and a complete feed that is in crumble form?

I am voting on wry neck caused by vitamin deficiencies.
