Hello,
I have a chicken I have been treating for vent gleet and she is doing much better with the exception of her legs. We adopted her from a local chicken farmer and when she came to us we noticed that she was always sitting low to the ground. I believe this is how she eventually ended up with vent gleet?? Anyways, she is eating well, drinks well and her poop is much better.
I have been treating her with daily baths with soap, water and epson salts, B Complex, PolyViSol, acidophilus, yogurt, wheat germ, scratch and her pellets. I also have her separated from the flock and she lays on her side as she is unable to stand. I wondered about Merek's disease yet she doesn't appear to have any other symptoms at this time with the exception of leg weakness and shakiness at times.
I am open to any suggestions or ideas.
Thanks!

:welcome Sorry your going through this. Some photos of your hen will be helpful. I don't know much about vent gleet but others on here do. I'm sure they will chime in soon.

Is she currently laying eggs?

How old is she? Has she laid eggs since you have had her? Does she have any enlargement or swelling of her lower belly between her legs? Her leg problem could be related to a reproductive disorder, vitamin deficiency, or something like Mareks disease.
