what happened, did they hatch?

Four hatched and one that was nearly fully developed died in its shell. When I opened the egg, it was not formed correctly. I'm posting updated pics in the chicks forum a few mins.

One egg has an external pip and all have pipped internally. Little hard to see the first pip on this one. Daughter has already come up with a bunch of names from Diablo series for these guys.

Never heard of "internal pip"; but then again, ALL of this is new to me.
