I have two (well actually three) chickens I cannot ID. I got them as a assortment of "rare and unusual" pullets from Murray McMurray.
One is a black hen with a small white patch on her face and has gray legs. She looks a lot like a Minorca, but lays light brown eggs.
The other is a Roo and he looks quite a bit like a Redcap, as far as feather color goes, but his comb is, I guess, a rose comb. It seems to have three "rows" that form his comb, which ends in a slight point. He has slate legs and no white on his face. He has a little bit of fluffy white tail feathers at the base of his tail. I guess you would call him a partridge color. He has some blue on his wing. He also has a gray beard, but nothing I would call tufts.
I also have hens that look like a Dutch bantam, but they are bigger than bantams and are supposed to be a standard size hen, but are on the smallish side. They have slate colored legs, but otherwise look like a Twente hen as well. They lay a light brown egg.,
I have searched and searched with no conclusive answer. Any ideas?
