I have two (well actually three) chickens I cannot ID. I got them as a assortment of "rare and unusual" pullets from Murray McMurray.

One is a black hen with a small white patch on her face and has gray legs. She looks a lot like a Minorca, but lays light brown eggs.

The other is a Roo and he looks quite a bit like a Redcap, as far as feather color goes, but his comb is, I guess, a rose comb. It seems to have three "rows" that form his comb, which ends in a slight point. He has slate legs and no white on his face. He has a little bit of fluffy white tail feathers at the base of his tail. I guess you would call him a partridge color. He has some blue on his wing. He also has a gray beard, but nothing I would call tufts.

I also have hens that look like a Dutch bantam, but they are bigger than bantams and are supposed to be a standard size hen, but are on the smallish side. They have slate colored legs, but otherwise look like a Twente hen as well. They lay a light brown egg.,

I have searched and searched with no conclusive answer. Any ideas?

Okay, I loaded pics. I hope this posts in the order that I see them loaded as I type this. There are two of the black one. I think it is a hen. There is one of a silver and tan hen, three of my roo (one is out of order) sorry, but you can see his beard and then the golden one has only one pic. If anyone can identify these, I'd love to know what they are. The rooster may be an EE'r. He is really beautifully colored though. I have seen pictures of roos with his coloring (some blue on wings and the white feathers in the tail. The hens in the pictures I;ve seen also show the white in the tail, but there was no mention of the breed.

Thanks so much. I was debating about the Spanish face? She does not have near the white that their picture shows, so I was wondering about her. These are all 6-7 months old.

The silver one does not have a long tail. Do just the roosters have the long tails? She is a small sized, standard hen and lays a light brown egg.

only the cockerels/roosters get the long tail and the white will/should come in more as she continues to age. the phoenix should also start to get white earlobes though sometimes hatchery birds dont

Thank-you so much! I have spent hours trying to figure it out. I have several breeds, but these were the ones I just couldn't make up my mind about. I really appreciate your comments and the pictures. :)
