Incubator Repair Assistance - I broke one of my Nurture Right 360s

Well, it finally happened. I dropped an incubator, from table height, flat on the ground, and killed it. It's one of my Nurture Right 360s, a Version 4 (my newest one that I only used once

)

Any ideas on where I can get a replacement fan? Initially the fan was still running when I rushed to plug it back it after spiking it at the ground like a football but it was really loud and sounded almost like an engine revving. Now, nothing...complete silence.

Before you ask, yes, I contacted the manufacturer first.

Kinda sounds like the electronic board is messed up if the fan started running faster after you dropped it. If the fan was shorted out, it would run slower. That was the electronics giving the fan more voltage for some odd reason.

Although you never know I guess. Would a computer fan not fit it? There should be a voltage and amp rating on the fan. Thats all you have to match. The size of the fan don't really matter as long as it fits in the space provided.

It's possible, I'm really not good with electrical stuff, though I don't think the revving sound was from it going faster than it used too, I think it was dying. Stopping and then picking up speed again, but it sounded unlevel. Now it's just quiet.

I haven't opened it up to tinker with it yet because I didn't have any luck finding a replacement fan but I'll go ahead and pull it apart tomorrow and see if there are any labels on the fan that are similar to computer fans. Thanks!

I'd venture to say it is a small dc computer fan that is soldered directly to the board. That's why there isn't a replacement part. You'd have to rewire it to the wires or resolder a new one to the board.

I have a few handy guys in my family that can probably help me with it then! Or at least walk me through it! Thank you! I'll update with how things go.

Unfortunately, I got impatient and tossed it. I only kept the base in case I ever need parts.
